Welcome to Matthew Helmke (dot) Net

Since the last post was more of a test, we can consider this my first official post on this blog. For those who don’t already know who I am, my name is Matthew Helmke. I am one of the members of the Forum Council and an admin in the Ubuntu Forums. Yeah, that’s me there, in disguise as a bubble haired space alien. I am forums user number 17,635. When you consider that our most recent user is user number 395,320, I guess you can say I’ve been around the community a little while. I like guitars, languages, travel, humor, friends and family…not necessarily in that order. I’ll probably write about most of those topics at some time or another.
