    Wow, the idea that my vote matters! Just look at 2000’s election when the popular vote decided the presidency. Or something. Let’s act like voting is important and we’re not owned!!! YaaYY.

    george: I will admit to being a bit of a cynic at times. At times, choosing not to vote can be the equivalent of casting a vote against all of the candidates and the system itself. My personal opinion is that the best option is to vote and encourage as much participation in the process as possible in the hopes of creating overwhelming support for and circumstances that make problems like you mention difficult or impossible.

    I am also hoping that this year’s election is won by a landslide, both in the popular vote and in the electoral college.
