Morocco blocks Google Maps

I have blogged previously about stuff that doesn’t work in Morocco. At that time, Google Earth was already blocked, but one could still find the same information via Google Maps. I had not checked that again for some time. However, in the last week I have done so several times and have discovered that, while the site comes up, neither the maps nor the satellite data is accessible from within Morocco. What is especially frustrating to me is that I can’t even look at a street map of a city in my home country on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.

Sigh.
