Two upcoming titles

Look for The Official Ubuntu Book, fourth edition to be released in July, and VMware Cookbook to be released in November. Both are currently listed on Amazon.com, and I have had the privilege of making major contributions to each.
I’ll post a little more about each as the release dates approach.

I’m just a bit curious about the two books you mention here. I know you said that you would comment more when the release date is due…. but are they in-depth explorations of the subjects or are they more of a general guide on the basics?
The reason I ask is that I’m in the market for a good VMware resources that specifically explains how to connect to and configure a virtual VMware server running on a remote machine.
I’d rather support people who are in contact with the community if possible so if the book covers the ground I mentioned let me know please.
The Ubuntu book is more of a general guide for beginners.
The VMware book is an in depth “how-to” book describing various methods for using the software in a production environment, specifically organized as recipes that enable a person to complete specific tasks.
